… this practice is a search for and recovery of strategies… strategies that breach fundamental categories of the Western European philosophical matrix… especially in what concerns the thinking of being… labor… and writing… it supports cosmological realities in which difference is not articulated through separation… it was born timidly… in—as much as through—an experience with the limits of Marxist theory to address social practices in the geopolitical South… where coloniality… raciality… gender… and sexuality complicate the equation of labor… it flourished during graduate studies... in which performative practices’ capacity to probe… instantiate… and enforce philosophical categories was organized in speech… recognizing the performative as a junction of immanence and transcendence… this practice deploys multiple materials such as prints… installations… social events… moving images... or sound... but always focusing on performativity and its philosophical echoes...
