the affectable body
This framework for projects explores the premises of continental and analytical philosophy, posing direct questions to authors canonized within these traditions. The project dissects the assumptions and structures underlying philosophical knowledge by examining how inherited frameworks shape modes of reasoning, social valuation, and the organization of thought.
At its core, the work reconfigures post-Enlightenment rationale as an ethnographic object within societal structures, analyzable with the same rigor these traditions have historically applied to other cultures. The project was developed through research at the CORE Program and is indebted to the work of Denise Ferreira da Silva, Fred Moten, and David Lloyd.
