in practice originated from an ongoing body of work focused on music recomposition for voice, aimed at the development and recording of the final part of the multimedia opera “Just Another Shadie Bitch.” The project treats vocal practice as a site of cultural negotiation, where technique, repetition, and training produce both embodied skill and socially legible sound.

Engaging pitch perfection, tonality, harmony, melody, and virtuosity inherited from Western European classical music, the research examines how listening is disciplined, highlighting the social and institutional contingencies that structure auditory experience. The project was developed through studio-based and performative research during residencies at Akademie Schloss Solitude and Artistic Residency Schloss Balmoral.
